The name of District has been adopted from the Greatness of historic fort Sindhudurg built-in Malvan in the Arabian Sea by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Malvan is a most popular tourism place having food specialty & adventurous water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, etc. & much more tourism attractions like Historic Sindhudurg Fort, Tarkarli Beach, Chivala Beach, Rock Garden, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n
