Established in 1999, "Government Industrial Training Institute Borivali" functioning under Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), Mumbai-1 and Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department of Government of Maharashtra affiliated to Directorate General of Training in Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi.

Located at Kandivali (West) of Borivali Taluka, one of the northern suburbs of Mumbai, is well connected via all modes of local transportation. It is one of the renowned Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) providing co-ed vocational education and training in the field of both Engineering and Non-Engineering Trades. The institute provides vocational training from various sectors like Automobile, Apparels, Capital Goods, Construction, Power, Tourism and Hospitality to 300+ trainees conducted through one and two year duration Nine Craftsmen Training Scheme Courses integrated with National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) levels of 3 to 5 as listed below:
